Apply for a Grant

Applications for the Great Ideas, Professional Development and Professional Book Group grants are accepted each year in the fall and the spring. Certified Los Alamos Public Schools teachers may apply. Fall 2019 applications will be accepted September 1-30, 2019.

Applications for mini grants (up to $100) are accepted each semester. There is no deadline to apply, but once the funding has been allotted for the semester, no more will be available until the next semester. Certified Los Alamos Public Schools teachers may apply.

NEW for the 2019-20 school year: wellness grants! In support of the Los Alamos Public Schools District’s focus on student and staff wellness, the LAPS Foundation now offers wellness grants for up to $100 each. Any Los Alamos Public Schools employee may apply, and up to 5 individuals may collaborate to request a combined $500 for one project. Wellness grants should fit into one of the following categories: physical fitness, mindfulness/stress management, morale, creativity/fun or other (please specify). Wellness grants are not meant to continue funding programs already in place. There is no deadline to apply, but once the funding has been allocated for the semester, no more will be available until the next semester. Learn more

You are encouraged to join one of two Grant Workshops this fall to learn more and discuss your ideas with us. There is no need to RSVP, but bring your laptop if you wish to start working on the application. Both workshops will be held 4-5pm in the School Board Room:
