Fall Professional Development

LAPS Foundation’s fall grant cycle started on September 1st. We have been able to award several grant requests for important educator training. Thanks to our community for helping us support teachers and fund their development and training needs.

LAMS Art Classroom Makeover

We had a great time this week helping with a makeover for the middle school art room. School is about to start and students will have a brightened up classroom to exercise their artistic creativity this year. The Foundation loves helping teachers create beautiful spaces for learning!

Shower with Love

Our third annual shower campaign was a great success this school year. Our community donated over $13,000 to provide teachers’ wish list items. With the Foundation’s matching funds, more than $20,000 of resources made it into the classrooms this year. Thank you for your generosity, Los Alamos!

LAMS Makerspace

Students at Los Alamos Middle School enjoyed working in the makerspace at the library.  Thanks to a generous grant from N3B, the Foundation provided lots of materials for students to work with this spring.  Learning looks like fun!
